Case Bertini

The farm is located in “Contrada Serravalle” in the area of “Chiaramonte Gulfi”, in the centre of the DOP “Monti Iblei” region, in the sub-zone “Gulfi”. The farm, was part of a larger estate, for centuries, it has belonged to the family of the present owner and up to the nineteenth century was a typical “all-embracing” farm, where grapes, olives and carobs were cultivated.

In 2001 the owner has improved the farm and an irrigation system has been applied to the whole property. It is not only a simple bottle of oil that we are offering you. It is rather the result of one thousand years of culture, constant and patient daily duty , the fruit of a generous land and a blessing of the sun.

The total surface of the farm is about twenty hectares, and there are about one thousand olive trees and 350 carobs trees.

In the farm the “Tonda Iblea” cultivar represents about 98%. The rest of the cultivars are “Biancolilla” and Nocellara Messinese”, which is commonly called “Verdese”.
